Silver and Black Necklace with Sunburst Motif

Solid Sterling Silver Pendant necklace with a Sun burst motif in an Art Deco style, The sunburst motif has clean well defined lines that are so celebrated in Art Deco design. On this piece the sun burst motif has been set on an ellipse which achieves the look of an eye – something that crops up in Art Deco pieces regularly, a striking design whether it is worn alone or as part of a combination of layering necklaces.

I love the way this design takes on a different look to the other pieces in my range that have the same sunburst motif. By setting it on an ellipse it takes on the look of an eye, a dramatic look from quite a simple minimalist design. I love the crisp lines that have been achieved through the laser engraving of the motif, it’s a eye catching design on a very wearable every day necklace. The 2.3mm Belcher chain that I have chosen for this pendant enhances the look, complimenting the pendant without drawing focus.

This design is available in plain silver, or in silver and black. The latter really makes the Art Deco motif stand out through a process called oxidisation which blackens the sterling silver and creates a rich contrast between the raised elements of the pattern and the relief.
